twin to twin transfusion awareness candles

finally...the photos are posted of the twin to twin transfusion awareness candles. After waiting on the large jar from the manufacturer, i have decided to use the smaller 14oz. candle so that no more time is wasted waiting for the jar to arrive. December is twin to twin transfusion awareness month and we are honored to be supporting this great foundation, Fetal Hope. For those of you that don't know what TTTS is, it is a disease of the placenta that affects identical twin pregnancies. Twice as many babies die from TTTS and other fetal syndromes than from SIDS, yet more people are aware of SIDS. Be sure to check out the website!

maddux got to visit with santa and mrs. claus this weekend at christmas in norway. his christmas wish list included trains (lots of them), snowmobiles and tractors! Just like daddy!

polar express

after a long holiday weekend at the quad cities expo center craft show we made it home safely. maddux and nate joined me friday night and spent some quality time together over the weekend while i worked the craft show. one picture i wish i had to post (but maddux wouldn't let me take one) was of him with his 3-D glasses on. We went to the IMAX and watched polar express in 3-D, how cool was that! i had never been to a movie shown in 3-D so i was very impressed and what better way to get you in the holiday spirit than polar express!

happy turkey day all! we've had a busy morning already as it snowed a couple inches last night and maddux was anxious to get out and play in it! So we visited our friends and let maddux and kaylee try out the new kitty kat! we were impressed only 3 years old and they already are pretty dang good at it (will try to post a video when i get that figured out, but don't hold your breath:) anyway here are a couple photos from the day as well as some older ones. grandma and grandpa zona have been gone only a couple weeks and i think are missing him already!

giving

i have decided to give back to the community through purchases made on my website and i am very excited to launch my new ideas. i have came up with 3 organizations that are very dear to our family and friends and would like to show our support. the 3 i have decided on are: breast cancer (oct. is breast cancer awareness month), autism (april is their awareness month) and lastly twin to twin transfusion syndrome (december). All of these have affected near and dear friends and family and this is my way of giving to something we all feel so strongly about. please check the website and find out how you can help. more work done on the website today, not enough hours in the day however. i never realized how much work and time goes into a site, and im not the one designing it. the wholesale portion is now live and hopefully white lights @ home won't be much further behind.

first time for everything

i thought id give this blog thing a try, i figured it would be a good way to keep friends and family update on all of the happenings at our household. to start it off here is a picture of maddux about one month ago when he fell out of the bathtub and hit the toilet, giving himself his very first, and probably not the last, shiner! fall is right around the corner and things are picking up with the candle business, we do our first large craft show of the fall season next weekend. looking forward to it as we have not been here before. but the biggest news in the candle business is that our website will finally be live and able to order from after this weekend. the days are just not long enough to get everything done i would like to. be sure to check it out when you get a chance http://www.mywhitelights.com/
